Fanatic, you might notice…

Henry Rollins has been so kind, shining a light on ViRG!! He’s been extremely supportive and has showcased ViRG’s music on his show several times, helping promote “Why Not Destroy This?” and also “Weeks.” :D
He also shared Thisworldisyours & Criminal Record with Anne Litt, and she played ViRG on her show!

Fanatic, you might notice that in our second hour we have a track by an artist called ViRG, fighting out of Leesburg, Virginia, and weeks away from releasing her next record, Why Not Destroy This? My apologies for not knowing about this music before ViRG, otherwise known as Piano Whitman, kindly sent me the track we’re listening to tonight. I will get more ViRG music into upcoming shows. I think the music is really cool. https://virg.bandcamp.com

ViRG is worth checking out. If you go to her Bandcamp page, look on the left, you’ll see a song called Criminal Record. I think it’s easily one of the coolest tracks I’ve heard this year. The rest of the album is cool too. We’re going to have to wait a while for it, so far, it’s slated for a November release. Definitely something to look forward to. We will be playing Criminal Record on the show in a couple of weeks.

Fanatic, you might remember a few weeks ago we listened to an artist named “ViRG”. Also known as a single artist named Piano. Yes, that is her name. Piano, yes, like the instrument. So Piano sent me that track we listened to weeks ago, and then recently she sent me the track we’re about to listen to as soon as I shut up. It’s from her upcoming record that doesn’t come out until November, called “Why Not Destroy This?”. The track we’re going to listen to is called “Criminal Record,” and I listened to it… and then I sat, and I listened to it again... and then I listened to it again. And I - I think it’s my favorite track of 2026 so far. So smart. Such an interesting lyric and interesting thing to write a song about. If you go to her Bandcamp page, V I R G, and look at the explanation for what was the - the origins of what propelled her to write Criminal Record it’s really, really interesting. So - enough of my talking… this is ViRG from “Why Not Destroy This” doing the track “Criminal Record”.
